Harte Recruitment is thrilled to collaborate with a top-tier commercial real estate agency in York, who are on the lookout for a driven Assistant Property Manager to join their vibrant team! With a strong focus on commercial property sales, they are renowned in the local area for their expert management of a diverse and high-quality portfolio, shaping the commercial property landscape in the region.
As Assistant Property Manager, you’ll support the daily operations of the property portfolio, with a focus on compliance, tenant support, and maintenance coordination. If you have previous experience working within residential property management or have a desire to gain an opportunity within the commercial property sector, we want to hear from you! This is a varied, hands-on position in a fast-paced environment with genuine career development, not to mention a lovely supportive team to work with!
The Package:
- Basic salary up to £25,000 per annum (D.O.E)
- Office-based, Monday to Thursday 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- One-hour lunch break
- 25 days annual leave plus public holidays
The Role:
- Track and record property compliance documents across the portfolio
- Send reminders for compliance renewals and keep tenants updated on compliance responsibilities
- Schedule compliance works for residential and vacant properties, including any necessary remedials
- Track and renew utility contracts, ensuring timely payment of bills
- Collect meter readings for specified properties
- Assist with Business Rate mitigation processes
- Add supplier and building insurance policies to Re-Leased
- Perform tenant inspections and schedule necessary maintenance and repairs
- Provide ad hoc support to the property management team, ensuring efficiency and compliance
The Person:
- Ability to work collaboratively with both tenants and the property management team
- Comfortable using property management software and standard office tools
- Previous experience in property compliance or maintenance is advantageous
- Strong organisational and time management skills with confident communication, both written and verbal.
